Thought I'd show some love for what is probably the best rpg series on PC EVER.
Fallout 3 comes out later this year, and my god I wanna have sex with it, it's that bloody good. Some of the screenshots of the new game look brilliant, and it's come a long way under it's new designers Bethesda Software, the folks who brought us Oblivion. (IMG:http://fallout.bethsoft.com/images/art/fallout3screens/screen19B.jpg) (IMG:http://fallout.bethsoft.com/images/art/fallout3screens/screen05B.jpg) Interplay were the ones who started the franchise, but they went bankrupt and what not and couldn't afford to continue the series, so Bethesda bought the franchise off them, and it lives on. I'm currently half way playing through Fallout 2, a game developed by Black Isle, an in-house production of Interplay, and bloody hell I still love it. It's the 10th anniversary of Fallout 2, but Fallout was the better game. Original is always the best is what I say. But Fallout 2 comes close to beating it. And it looks like Fallout 3 might just do it! Fallout Tactics is alright. It bases itself on one of the in-game factions called Brotherhood Of Steel, a faction that worships technology. There was also a console game called Brotherhood Of Steel, but that's crap. Utter crap. Don't buy it. Instead, burn it. But Fallout 3 comes out later this year. Check out their site for more screenshots. |

Fallout is among the best games ever made....with Civilization, Master of Orion and....one more game that I of course forgot while typing =p
Fallout 2 wasn't as good and it was very bugged + that I played the ghost-version = UK-one without the children....which kinda sucked (You aren't allowed to kill kids in the UK apparently =) Fallout Tactics was a mistak, they apparently didn't get that it was the freedom of the game that people love about the Fallout-game, I loooove the fact that you can do pretty much what you want in the first game, like killing whole towns or the world =) I've finished the first one too many times to count. Been waiting for 3 3's for a while now, Fallout 3 (hopefully Bethesda wont ruin it =), Diablo 3 (Blizzard never ruins it =) and then the third game which I also forgot =p (But I guess I also kinda want Starcraft 2 so =) |

Imma bump this since people can't really see it being waaaaay down the bottom of the page. Do you not realise that this game (Fallout 3) is being dubbed THE game of 2008? It's easy to see why really. Check it out biatches or imma gonna get my grandma to come haunt your asses for eternity. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)
(seriously though, THE game of 2008. That's official!) |

That's the beauty of F3. It's also a console game, out on 360 and PS3. Check out the site. It explains more there.

The pwetty pictures are just the beginning. The gameplay looks absolutely stunning, especially the way they've made it more world orientated. Before, it was just a 3D, over-head view of the maps you could roam. Now they've made everything Third/First person, including the world, which means those random encounters on the first 2 games are now just that, totally random.
People who played the first two games will know what I mean when I say stealing from peoples homes were easy. Well, not so much anymore. Raiding somebodys bookcase or lockers with them around is going to cause quite a stir. Expect to be shot at. It's so great it's unreal. Comes out Autumn '08, and is billed as the game of the year by many critics. Definately one for the wish list. So much so my holidays this year revolve around the release of this game, and Fable 2. Bethesda Softworks, the company that brought us all the stunning magnifcent, Game of the Year 2006, Oblivion, has released the official release date for Fallout 3.
Fallout 3 recently won Best at Show at this years E3 awards, and will be available from October 29th, North America, and October 30th for Europe. As of yet, the ESRB have yet to rate this game. I for one, cannot wait. |

I will definitely be looking in to buying this. I really liked Fallout 1 but unfortunately my Fallout 2 STILL wont install so I guess I'll never know how good that is...
For anyone who doesn't know how good this game is just buy it! It works on all systems and computers and I picked up a bumper pack of Fallout 1, Fallout 2 and Fallout Tactics for only £3.50!!!!!! |

Not sure what the problem is with your installation on F2. I'll look around the forums and see if I can figure it out for ya.
And yes, the Fallout Trilogy (Fallouts 1, 2 and Tactics) can be bought for as little as £3.50. You don't have to play them to understand the 3rd, but it helps in clearing things up. |

Yeah, like I said before it says "Could not locate text/font files" or something like that when I try and install it...
Btw, just remembering back to when you changed your name; having played the game now I couldn't agree more! The Brotherhood of Steel are by far the best group on the game because of their cool armour and weapons! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) Actually, I'm having trouble with the quest to the miltary base. I'm stuck on the bit where you have to listen to conversation with the Liuetenant. There are 3 robots (couldn't figure out how to shut them down) and two guards which annihalate me whenever I get close (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) |

What level of the base are you on? I'm struggling to remember which part of the base that is. If you're one the 4th floor, where the VATS are located, then I think I know where you are.

Hmmm, if you can't install the second game I only have one Q...did you buy the US or the UK version?
I couldn't use the US version on my comp but the UK one works fine =) |

All 3 games came on 1 disc and Fallout 1 works so I assume 2 should work (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Sorry for the late reply Mike. Anyway, to kill the robots using any means necessary. I generally blow them up using a rocket launcher. If that fails, then just either use a Minigun or Combat Shotgun. As for the two Mutants in the final room, the first, regular one can be a pretty easy kill. Use the aforementioned Rocket Launcher way, providing you're skill with Big Guns is over a 100%. If you have enough ammo, do the same with the Lieutenant.
By the way, you can't actually talk him, they'll attack you as soon as you enter the room. Make sure you have a lot of Stimpaks aswell. You may need them. Super Stimpaks are even better to have. The base should be filled with them. And now for more F3 news. 5 NEW GAMEPLAY VIDS!!!!! Check out the official site. They're available for download direct, or you can watch them on YouTube. I can't wait for this. Getting to literally knock somebodys head off with a Power Fist. Roll on October 31st! |

BOOM! Back on the scene with a master of a game. Seriously, all doubters of F3 should really play this game. Nothing compares to blowing off a Super Mutants head with a lowly Hunting Rifle. Or taking out an entire Enclave patrol with a Mini Nuke.
Bethesda have done the Fallout series good with this game, and here's hoping that number 4 is in the making. |
