For me i am very impressed, obviously there a few bugs still and maybe even the amount of times the server goes down is far too many and something that should be fixed before it goes out to the public.Nevertheless i have loved every minute, it really has got me into FM again, i would say if it is too expensive i will not buy before but now i really have go into it. Building your own team from scratch is brilliant. I think another thing they could look to improve is the setup assistant i think they could improve that before they put it out to the public aswell.
Your opinions? |

Almost the same as you, but i'd love them to make suer the server goes down much less often (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) . Also, i'm a bit disapointed with the "Market Place" Chat Rooms as everything is very unorganised, but apart from that, it's brilliant!

Me and FM Live are a match made in heaven. Obviously being like the second FMD member ever to test FML, Im very addicted already.
It's a game which you either love, or hate. I Love it. I get extremely pissed off at it the majority of the time, when Im getting beat 5-0 to a bloody 1 star team, or when the lag makes the game freeze completely, however times like this morning when I had a very civilized chat with two of the guys in my fed for about an hour - priceless. Part of the FML experience is getting to meet new people, and I for one have met some quality friends that I'll definitely look out for when the real game comes out. Building a club from scratch, just exactly how you want it, takes time, but the reward is fabulous. Knowing that YOU, yourself has created a wonderful club, just how you would in real life is insanely great! Considering its BETA testing still, the amount of actual bugs in the game is quite limited, the only ones I am suffering from at the minute is the Multiple News Message ones, and I havent really noticed much else. But obviously, the main issue with FMLive is ofcourse the Server performance, downtime, lag, 'maintenance' lasting 5 times as long as SI promise and the lot. Okay, so yeah it's BETA testing, and that is part of the package, but it hasn't really improved at all. The servers go down pretty much every day, and when speaking to people in my fed, who have been testing since last year - it's getting worse. However, my overall first impressions after my first 2 weeks of testing are great. Ive said all along that i would buy the game, and that still stands. |

I like it a bit, but for me you'll only really get your money's worth back after a long time when you've made an amazing team. So I don't really know tbh whether I will buy or not

No offense, as your a good member, but was that really needed? There is hardly any invites around now, as most game-worlds have already started their season. Seasons last 4 - 5 weeks, and by then, the game could well be thinking about being released anyway. The topic is about First Impressions to FMLive, for BETA testers, we have a thread where you can beg for invites - although like I say, you probably wont get any. I got a place to BETA test this when the tests first happened. First impressions were very good, and I bet they'd be better now with the improvements, but the whole premise just didn't seem to work.
The thing that struck me at the time was how you lose out if you're not playing it every day for hours. A few big names on the shortlist eluded me as I wasn't on to sign them, players left as I wasnt on to offer them a new contract, games were lost because I wasn't online and my Assistant was useless. Has anything been done on the newest BETA to improve this? |

I certainly won't be buying it. |

If I knew that, I would say, but I don't. I simply don't have the urge to sign in to the game anymore. I wish i did, but I just don't. It's a shame, as my blog will probably have to come to an abrupt end too now.

A suggestion I can give to you to spice things up more - start a full youth setup.
It's pretty hard to do this properly in your first season, but it does add A LOT more things to do while you're online. I've got a complete 18+ player squad at each youth level u17, u19 & u21 as well as a reserve team comprised of my senior subs & top u21 players. I join virtually every youth comp created for little or no money and enjoy keeping track of how my young ones are progressing. Typically I manually play my fed youth matches and reserve team comps just so I can assess the players by eye and not solely on stats. For those that think it's costly to do this, it really isn't. Almost all my youth players were signed under 17 for between 200-300 wage and I rarely attempt to engage in wage wars for ones with 4+ potential. Pretty much I look to have well rounded squads at each level and sort through the player search list every so often for unsigned kids with good starting attribute templates for their position. I also set up transfer alert filters for anyone under 22 being sold and try to scoop up those that are being sold for very cheap (even $1) that I can nurture into much more. This whole youth setup adds so much more dynamic to your playing experience and it's vital that you make sure everyone is match fit and getting playing time so they can improve. With 50+ players though you will get a lot of duds or just really average ones that will never be good enough for your senior squad - but it is a joy when you do find the diamonds in the rough (and they don't have to be 4-5 star potential for this) and integrate them into your seniors or sell them off at pretty good profits. In the past four seasons of having this setup, I'm in the black financially. Even if you pick up a 17 year old at $1 with a $200 wage and sell him three seasons later for 75k, that's still almost a 50k profit. Just a few of these transfers will pay for your entire youth setup completely. Of course though sometimes you produce a windfall - my best one being buying a u17 off of Miles at 14k, developing him into almost a 1m MV player & then selling him at u21 for 500k. Maybe this will inspire you to sign in, Mike... |

I don't know either, it's just that I can't be arsed with it if that makes sense? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)
Dosen't really inspire me to keep on signing in, and it's really repetetive at times. |
