Football Graphics, aka FGFX, was first created in way back in February, but never really got going. Yes, another failed graphics site maybe, but times have changed.

A new beginning, which started only two days ago, 4th August 2008, which saw Rosie, aka Nugget, enroll me, SeanAVFC, as admin to help resurrect the site.

A new banner, new icons, new smilies, new theme to the forum and a new forum layout were just some of the things that has happened in the two days.

Anther important part of resurrecting the forum was to bring about a new staff team. With me, SeanAVFC, and .Rosie!, aka Nugget, as admin, a backbone to the staff team structure was necessary, and new arrivals were imminent.

With a completely new forum, there was only two members. With a little luck, this has started to change. .Mecurial'08 was the first appointment, heading straight into the Moderator role. Ryan's responsibilty will be to look after all the forums. Next up was Levi, who has taken on the role of FGFX Artist. Levi's primary role will be to look after and maintain the Art forums, making sure things run smoothlu. As they say, things come in threes, and there was no suprises here. VillaBhoy was the third new appintment, coming in to help as Resource Staff. his primary role will be to scour the 'net for images of players around the world, in leagues ranging from the Premier League to the MLS.

You may say, "What a pathetic staff structure so far. How are they going to rival any other Football Graphics Site?". This is not the case at all. The staff team may not be the strongest you will ever see, but we arnt looking for big name staff members at all, but it is more of a case of bringing in unknown talent, with potential that others may not see.

We may only just have started, but things can only move forwards.

Im not a graphics person, so obviously it would be pointless me joining, but:

If I were, I would be put off by the look of the site. I have nothing against free sites, apart form the fact they actually look awful. Even the best skins, which I believe you have look tacky in my own opinion. Your skin/theme is one of the better I've seen for a free site, yet it's still remarkably simple, not really very graphical like for example you can get on IPB skins like FMD's, but nevertheless, it's good considering the software. Other annoying thing is that with my brain and memory, having to type in that domain name is kinda annoying and I would forget it in no time. It only cost about 4 pounds to get a .co.uk domain. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

And after the constant nagging and being wound up by him, VillaBhoy would put me off.

The main site is actually http://www.footballgfx.co.uk/, its just a case of getting the forum a similar domain name.

Surely on your domain you can have branch offs/sub-domains, like we have www.fmdiscussion.com/forums

Yeah. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) You should be able to add sub-domain things like /forums etc for no extra cost, I dont think. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)


Another thing I've just noticed while having a look around is the excessively long layout Sean. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) When scrolling down I thought it would never end! You may want to cut some of that down a tad imo. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Maybe you feel you arnt capable enough to become an "FGFX Artist", but maybe you are good enough at finding high quality images for people to use. Maybe you feel you are capable enough of moderating the FGFX "Chat Zone".

We are open to any offers for people to join the team. So remember, all you need to do is fill in the code in the above thread link , and post into the thread.
