If you have one of these, you should be shot.
This is my first ever story so go easy. I'm trying quite a orthodox lay-out, so don't go too over the top if I can't get it working the way I wanted. I am aware that this first one is going to be rather large, and you should find out why if you read through.

Jones Blasts Ashley and Co! (4th April 09)

We told you first!

It would seem Newcastle United manager, Dale Jones, finally got the dreaded news he was expecting yesterday. A source within Newcastle United told The Sun how manager Jones marched straight into the board room, demanding they explain what he had just read. What he had just read however, wasn't anything you'ld usually expect, transfer rumours, board takeover, anything like that in fact, it was Monday's version of our newspaper. The back-page headline on that of course was: Newcastle to Fire then Hire!

The source specifically said: 'He asked me if there was anyone in the board room, to which I replied yes, as the board and chairmen were having a meeting over how to tell him he wasn't getting his contract renewed. He suprisingly stormed ahead with a newspaper in his right hand, and after leaving the door open, went ballistic at the board, and chairman, Mike Ashley. He got the answer when Mike finally stood up and told him the 'leaked source' was true, and that Dale would be soon clearing his desk, when his contract ends'.

Toon Turmoil (18th April 09)

Dale Jones was officially fired as Newcastle Manager yesterday, after relationships worsened between Jones and the Newcastle United officials. Jones told BBC Sports in the Arsenal post-match interview, in which Newcastle were well beaten 4-1, by an 36 game winning streak gifted Arsenal, that the board and chairman were to blame for the recent drop in form.

Jones was quoted as saying 'It's a complete disgrace that they told a national newspaper that I wasn't to get a new contract, before they actually told me. I seriously feel that in our last three game, which have saw us win not one game, have had a bad effect on my players, and have caused our lack of form.'

Jones was sacked within hours of the interview being published, with chairman Mike Ashley declining to comment on the situation. Rumours are rife that Glen Hoddle could be moving to the 'Toon', or that in a shock move, there could be a lucky number 3 for Kevin Keegan, but what is for sure, Jones will not be managing Newcastle next year. Where he will manage however, is a completly different matter.

Date: 3/7/09.

After what seems like an age of not managing a club, possibly helped by the rumours circulating about him mangaging many manager-less clubs, manager Dale Jones finally got settled into his new home yesterday, after two weeks of delayed negotiations, thought to be due to family illness. Charlton Athletic held on for their man however, and two weeks to the day of the first offer, finalised an agreement which would, if fully seen through, see Dale Jones become the manager of Charlton Athletic Football Club.

Jones was quoted as saying 'It's almost a dream come true to be managing yet another illustrious club, so early in my career. I've been in management for two years now, after giving up on football through a knee injury, and i've already managed Newcastle United, and now get the opportunity of taking Charlton Athletic to the Premiership, and possibly along the way even getting a nice cup run, boosting our funds for the following season. The main intention however should be winning the Championship to overcome the bookies idea of us being play-off contenders. I intend to do this by firstly getting rid of, to put it nicely, dead wood in our team. I've inherited a squad of almost 50 players, with the reserves included, so will be hoping to make a profit, and the money I make, will hopefully help me to buy some experienced players, who have been in a similar situation before, and some fresh young blood, who will be eager to prove their point!'

Exclusive Soccer Manager Interview!

Featuring Dale Jones
_____________________________________________________

ESPN: ''So Dale, it seems like you've became a forgotten manager, I mean, one month and two days ago, you we're soaking in all the press telling of your dream. With the signings you've made, do you believe this is possible?'

Jones: Well, of course. Two of my signings (Kostadinov and Ostembor) have been slightly condemned by the Charlton fanbase, but I bought them because I believe in them, and I believe they will repay the faith I have shown in them, with some great performances on the pitch, that is, if they can, as our squad has so much quality, it's hard to fit them in!

ESPN: 'Wow, that sounds encouraging, please take us through your signings.'

Jones: 'I'll take you through a few, as if I talk about them all, you'll be here for a month! Firstly I'm going to give a special mention to Peter Beardsley, who is my Assistant Manager now, and who has also done a brilliant job. Anyway, I have signed some of my old Newcastle talent, on loans, frees, and even tranfers! The loanees consist of David Templeton and Andy Carroll. David will act as back-up for the team, whereas Andy will probably be starting. The free transfers were Cacapa and Christian Brocchi, who will both act as back up, but play a big part behind the scenes with their valuable experience. The player I payed for from Newcastle are Branimir Kostadinov, who i'm still hoping to start, depending on some things going through. Keeping on a Newcastle related theme, Steve Harper, who will be back-up to the highly rated Nicky Weaver, Danny Swanson, my long time Newcastle 'younger player' target, and Albert Luque, who will be a valuable member of the team have signed. This is quite a solid base to build upon, so you can imagine hopefully imagine the quality of my team in depth.'

ESPN: What about the players you've sold?
Jones: Funny you should bring that up. This is actually my first season in management where i've more money coming in to the club via transfers than out. Which for me is very good. However... There's always time (Laughs).

Above: Some of Jones' Ins and Outs.

ESPN: 'This is really encouraging stuff, Dale, what position will you be aiming for with this squad?'

Jones: 'Well, most have tipped us for a play-off place, but whats the point in me saying that when I think we're easily capable of taking 1st spot, with maybe one more big signing with most of my remaining budget.'

ESPN: 'Well thanks for talking to us Dale, and good luck with your first season in the Championship.'

Jones: No problem, and thanks.
