Here we are again ladies, and gentlemen. I'm afraid this is becoming too much of a regular occurence for my liking lol.

So after Ash rather rudely ruined my 'Zero to Hero' game, (it was actually a mix between me and my laptop but it's easier to blame the bearer of bad news than myself - you can see what went wrong in the old thread) I've realised I need to live up to my Hall of Famer name and not actually come across as a blundering fool. I have a lot of pride at stake I feel as I've actually fucked up every game I've played and told you on FM, since my return to the game, and my arrival on FMD. So far, I think it's far to say I've not done very well lol. So here's where that changes. Fingers crossed.

If this fails I may cry myself to sleep at night and leave FMD in a state of absolute misery.

So, to cut a long story short, when I was deciding upon what to do in between 'Hero to Zero 1 & 2' I spent a few hours starting a game with a random club (Colchester United) and thought, well rather than try to make an idiot of myself third time around, I'll go back to this game and try to prove some of my supposed worth to you all.

As things stand in the game then it's Saturday 9th of January and I've just beaten Yeovil Town 3 - 1 away from home to take Colchester to 3rd in League One. Since the start of the game I've made what I feel to be some pretty impressive signings, but only managed to get rid of one player in Phil Ifil (Barnet for £8,000). Below are my signings ...

As said, we're currently 3rd in the league which means things are going very well so far, and with a bank balance of more than £2,000,000 the finances are looking healthy too. I want to make the Play-Offs this season, with Promotion achieved by the following season at the longest.

Let's hope I actually do okay on this game eh?

So it's the end of January, and I've made a small tweak to my team by bringing in Giles Barnes for the rest of the season on loan. I've had a number of offers for some of my younger first team players but feel that as I am in no dire need for cash, that it was best for the club to reject them. QPR and Swansea have been interested in securing my services as manager, but I've rejected both claims in the media, delighting my board room - aren't I a good boy? My team are on a wee bit of a role at the moment too, having knocked Wigan out of the FA CUP (4 - 1 AET in a replay), taking Cardiff to a replay in the FA Cup, and getting to the Johnstone Paint Trophy South Final, of which I drew the first leg 0 - 0 at home to Charlton.

Colchester Boss Left Speechless.

After watching his side's 5 - 3 penalty loss in the Play Off Final at the hands of Southampton, Colchester United boss Frazer Lloyd-Davies had very little to say about his teams fortunes at Wembley Stadium, but tried to remain upbeat, "We've made a lot of people proud today, and whilst we may feel as if we've let them down, we can hold our heads high when we look back on this season. We've matched and bettered nearly everything put in front of us but today just wasn't meant to be."

Good luck on the starting the new game mate, i've had games which have had issues although since i've switched to Mac's i've had no issues of the sort (touch wood)

But seems you have been doing fairly good with Colchester, I bet your gutted about the playoff defeat i felt the same way in my Derby game but i kept at it and i'm in the Premier League now :)

Anyway i still think your a loser :) but good luck.

Cracking start mate, best of luck getting into the big leagues. Are you going to stick with Colchester all though the career or you going to move about?

Ummm.

I want to win something with Colchester first and then we'll see.

Maybe. I'm not really sure yet how long I'm gonna stay at Colchester. Going to take things as they happen, although I definitely want to win something with Colchester.

Frazer's fucking magic.
He wears a magic hat.
And when he saw the Wednesday.
He'd said, "We'll ease past that"
Then we got United
"What an easy draw!"
"We're gonna win the FA Cup"
"Just watch Colchester soar!"

100 games already? You breeze through FM. I complete, on average, about 4 games every hour and a half. I'm never dedicated to FM. Also, take note the added forum at the top of the Career board, just for you. Let's hope this doesn't lie in there too. Anyway, don't let Crystal Palace run off with the league, catch them!

I don't like to tweak things when I get things going well because I'm always worried I'll fuck it up, so often things can remain similar at my clubs for months on end. It's working well here at Colchester although it does often mean that if someone's not good enough to get in my 'Top 16' then they won't play very much and then get in a mood with me. Meh, I'm doing well. Also with work sparse atm (long story) then I have a lot of free time on my hands, and summer holidays from Uni are nowhere near as good as holidays used to be, or as Uni itself lol.

Just a little update, I'm now in 4th with 2 points between me and 2nd (Palace). My defence are incredible having conceded only 15 in 32 games (next lowest in the league is 26) but my strike force just aren't hitting the net as much as last year. Still, I'm hopeful of automatic promotion.

The Cemetry is a genius idea! I imagine I'll be in there more than most :)

WHAT THE HELL DO I DO ?!?!

Without even applying for it, Sheffield United (CCC 16th) have approached me.

£2,600,000 (£630,00) to spend and £190,000 (58,000) wage budget. What I currently have.

Someone provide me with some pearls of wisdom quickly!
