Igor Duljaj FM Player Guide

Igor Duljaj began his professional career in the then First League of Former Republic Yugoslavia in 1997 for FK Partizan Belgrade in his home country of Serbia and Montengro. With Partizan, Duljaj won the domestic league in 1999, 2002 and 2003 and also lifted the domestic cup in 2001. In 2004 Ukranian club Shakhtar came in for the Serb and shelled out £2.7m for his services. In his seconod season Duljaj lifted the Ukranian Super League trophy with the club, a feat which they repeated the following season and again in 2008 as well as winning the cup in the same season and back in 2004. At 21 years of age Duljaj made his international debut for Serbia and Montengro against Romania in a friendly match. Since then the midfielder has gone on to record 52 caps and 2 goals and still remains in the Serbian national team to this day. It is also known that Igor Duljaj is a big fan of Italian club Juventus, who he has supported since he was a child.

The 28 year old lists central midfield as his main position but is also capable of playing in defensive midfielder. Many people believe that Duljaj is a better player than he is often given credit for. Having played in two European top-tier leagues and with so many international caps Duljaj is known as a player strong player but also one with a fairly short fuse.
