Ross McCormack Player Guide

Ross McCormack

Background Info

Ross McCormack is an Scottish Winger/Forward who plays his trade for Cardiff City in the English Championship. He is 22 and made his Scotland debut away to the Czech Republic as a late subsitute with club mate(At the time) David Clarkson. He has featured in one squad since them but pulled out due to a hamstring injury. This season he has hit 11 goals for Cardiff, mostly penalties. His former Clubs include Rangers, Doncaster(Loan) and Motherwell.

FM Information

Ross will be hard to obtain in the first season as he has just recently transfered from Motherwell to Cardiff in the summer. But after one season you should be able to obtain him for around £800,000-£1m. He is right footed but he is best suited to playing at the AML postion, as he has an act of cutting inside and shooting from distance, he also could play as the centre forward as he is naturally developed in that postion. He would be better off playing with a target man along side him to have a big man little man partnership.Would be suited for A premierleauge Fulhamish club and lower and would go as high as good enough for the old firm in Scotland.

Strengths

Penalty Taking (16) – Known for this in real life but will score most penalties if given chance to.

Work Rate(16) and Determination(17) – I have grouped these together as i feel both show, you have a great mental player who will work hard and will be determined to win at all costs.

Finishing (13) – Not the greatest, but hey the guy will score and that my friends is a fact.

Weaknesses

Tackling(7) – As he’s a striker its common that his tackling is poor.

Long Throws(6) - Again poor as expected!

Overall Rating -I’d give Rosco a 6.7/10 – He isn’t the greatest but he has potential and is very consistent.
